Enjoy A Pleasant Stay The two-story Victorian is perched atop a small hill above Truckee and is easy to spot for its size and welcoming yellow color. The front porch, adorned with gingerbread and Victorian detail, has rocking chairs where visitors can relax and take in the view from up high. Across the river is Truckee’s first ski hill and below is the quaint and charismatic town of Truckee.
Inside, warm hues of deep gold and rich greens are the backdrops for an impressive collection of antique furnishings. Rooms have their original doors and wood moldings, displaying fine examples of 19th century woodwork. The entryway is adorned with gorgeous Lincrusta wainscoting, which is original to the house and striking to behold flanking the grand staircase.

Maggie’s Room
A sunny, south facing room with bay windows overlooking historic downtown Truckee. The room has a Queen bed and private bath with claw foot tub. Victorian floral wall paper, crystal lamps and antique dressing screen transport guests to the distant past.

Ivy’s Room
High ceilings and a tall window that looks out into the garden where you'll see spring's tulips, irises and daffodils. Floral walls and a beautiful antique crystal light fixture. Full size bed and antique furniture. Private bath includes a roll in shower for handicap accessibility.

Sadie’s Room
Queen size bed in a spacious, floral room. Antique love seat for snuggling with your loved one. Private bath with a claw foot tub, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day.

JACK's Room
Queen size bed. Eastern window brings in the morning sun. An antique church pew makes a nice place to sit and relax. Sink in room, shares bathroom with Jill's room.

The Kitchen
The spacious kitchen was designed with cooks and entertainment in mind. It has a six-burner commercial oven/stove, an additional oven, microwave, refrigerator, two sinks and lots of counter space. A mini kitchen, bar sink and microwave are also located just outside of the rumpus room.

Jill's Room
Two twin size beds makes this as good room for the kids. Green and yellow walls make you feel like your napping in the garden. Eastern window and a sink in room. Shares a bathroom with Jack's Room.

Rex's Rumpus Room
Designed especially for kids, the rumpus room has a flat screen TV and DVD player and is situated off the mini kitchen so children have a private place to hang out. Bean bag chairs and couches make for comfy nights watching a movie or playing a board games.

The Main Parlor
The elegant parlor is the perfect gathering spot to enjoy drinks or quietly read. Beyond the lace curtained windows are views of historic Truckee, Hilltop Lodge and the Truckee River.

The Formal Dining Room
High ceilings and handcrafted woodwork bring Victorian elegance to this handsome room, which can be closed off from the main parlor by heavy, wood pull doors. A massive hand carved sideboard and large dining table are the centerpieces for this lovely room. The dining table seats eight, or enjoy the dining nook at the eastern bay window.

Christine's Room
Known as “the golden room” for its sunset views and beautiful light, Christine’s room has a Queen bed and private bath with shower. The room overlooks the historic "Rocking Stone Tower", an important Native American site and one of the few naturally occuring rocking stones in the world.
